Eating Well and moving more Boosts Creativity and Happiness at Work

Science shows us that physical activity, a healthy diet, sleep and hydration are essential to our physical and mental wellbeing. Benefits include increases in a positive mood, happiness and self-esteem; improved self-perception; and reductions in stress levels, depression. anxiety and increasing productivity in the workplace.

Keeping well also reduces the chances of illness as physical activity has been proven to improve our immune systems, therefore, reducing the number of sick days.

Addressing poor diet in the workplace is key to improving employee happiness and performance. Our approach is to provide easy guidance on what we are eating, and how our diets can contain the whole spectrum of nutrients our bodies require.

Our business has two major approaches to assisting our clients:

  • Health and Wellbeing Assessment and Consulting - Here we look at the current health and wellbeing of your people assessing the 3 pillars:

    • Your people

    • Working environment, culture and leader behaviours

    • Available supporting infrastructure

From this, we ascertain the health of your organisation people and their needs, how those could be better supported by your business and what could be put in place to support this. We then cost the work, provide the investment case, build and conduct required workshops and put together and implement the program (inclusive of any required coaching support).

  • Individual Change Program - The most effective way to stimulate real behavioural change is to support a person on a one to one basis. Our fitness coaches will work with the person to identify the client’s history and what physical movement means to them. We then reframe their attitudes designed to result in effective life-long change. Our coaches and experts will work with the client to assist them in working to remove any psychological blocks around the subject and will (if required) take them out to try different forms of physical activity. This work is in parallel with our nutritional experts who support and coach the employee and their families in buying and cooking better, healthier food. Additionally, if it is more a question of re-establishing an exercise routine then we have remote personal trainers.
